2.5. Car check before departureBefore departure check up a technical condition of the car. You spend no more than 10 mines, but will be assured of serviceability of systems and car units. Check is necessary for carrying out at daily operation of the car even if it seems to you that all works irreproachably. The part of works can be executed during engine warming up, having saved some minutes.

1. Approaching to a parking lot, pay attention, whether there are traces подтекания some no oil or operational liquids under the car. Whenever possible eliminate a leak before departure.
2. Necessarily check up pressure of air in tyres and if necessary finish it to recommended for the given type of tyres. The difference of pressure within 0,2–0,3 kgs/sm2 can worsen controllability parametres, smoothness of a course of the car and to lead to undesirable drift or a pulling down at braking. Because of the lowered pressure in tyres the protector faster wears out and is spent more fuel.

3. Bypass round the car. Check up:
|
Completeness of demountable details (screen wiper brushes, external mirrors, etc.);

6. Check up liquid level in a tank of the hydraulic booster of a steering. If necessary add a liquid to norm.

7. We recommend to check up whenever possible oil level in a transmission, a distributing box, forward and back bridges and if necessary to add it.
|
8. Check up work of a lay brake. For this purpose, lifting the lever against the stop, count up quantity of clicks. If clicks more than fourteen, the lay brake has to be adjusted.
|
9. Check up a sound signal.
|
10. Check up work of headlights, back lanterns and turn indexes.
|
11. Check up work of instrumentations, and also screen wipers and washers of a windscreen and glass of a door of a back.
|
12. Before a trip on the standing car necessarily check up work of brake system, having pressed a brake pedal. If the pedal without resistance "has failed" to a floor, means, the brake system is faulty. Operation of such car is forbidden.

THE NOTE
Before a distant trip, and also after a long break in operation check up a condition of a spare wheel and complete the car with the tool and accessories. In case of failure detection make the decision (taking into account requirements of Rules of traffic) on the beginning of a trip or car repairs.

Check of wheels
It be required to you: a manometre, the pump, a calliper.
RECOMMENDATIONS
Pressure of air in tyres of forward and back wheels should be 0,19 (1,9) МПа (kgs/sm2). Periodically check pressure of air in tyres. The raised or lowered pressure leads to premature deterioration of tyres, controllability and stability worsen.

5. If pressure more demanded, press a special ledge of a manometre (it is shown by an arrow) on a zolotnik and let the air out from the tyre. Measure a manometre pressure. Repeating these operations, finish pressure to norm.
6. If you have noticed that pressure of air in tyres constantly falls, try to wrap more tightly a zolotnik by means of a cap with a key.

THE PREVENTION
In order to avoid pollution of zolotniks do not maintain the car without protective caps. If caps have been lost, necessarily establish the new.

7. To check up tightness of a zolotnik, wet its aperture. If there were vials of leaving air, replace a zolotnik.
|

8. Measure by a calliper residual depth of a protector. If depth of a protector of 1,6 mm or less, replace the tyre.
|
9. Check up an inhaling of nuts of fastening of wheels and if necessary tighten them (the inhaling moment see in enc. 1).

Check of level and доливка a brake liquid
GOOD ADVICE
Type of a brake liquid: "Tom'" or "Dew" a class not more low DOT-4.
At falling of level of a brake liquid in a tank below a label «MIN» in a combination of devices the control lamp lights up red light. We recommend to check level before each departure and if necessary to add a liquid in a tank, without waiting, while the control lamp will light up: this operation is better for spending beforehand. If the brake liquid in a tank has to be added often enough, at once address to experts or eliminate malfunction independently (section 8 «Brake system» see).
At replacement of a brake liquid in system remember or write down mark of a liquid which has been filled in that at доливке to use the same mark.

GOOD ADVICE

Hit of a brake liquid on wires, the plastic or painted details of a body can cause their damage. Therefore always enclose pure rags at pouring. At liquid hit on these details at once wipe their pure rag.

1. Check up level of a brake liquid in a tank. It should be between labels «MIN» and «MAX», put on the tank case.

2. If level of a liquid below a label «MIN», turn away a cover of a tank and add a brake liquid to a mark «MAX». Then wrap a tank cover.
|
3. Check up work of the gauge of falling of level of the brake liquid established in a cover of a tank. For this purpose include ignition then press the button on a tank cover. In a combination of devices the control alarm lamp of an emergency condition of working brake system should light up. If the lamp does not light up, most likely, the gauge is faulty.

THE NOTE
Sometimes at stopper removal it appears that the rubber jack be turned inside out. It means that while in service there was an essential decrease in level of a liquid in a tank. On the car the working cylinder automatically compensating deterioration of coupling (adjustment manually is not required) is established.

Strong decrease in level of a liquid in the absence of its leak indirectly testifies to limiting deterioration of overlays of a conducted disk of coupling.
|
3. Accurately add a liquid in a tank to the bottom edge of a jellied mouth and wrap a stopper.
|
|
THE NOTE
If at removal of a stopper the jack has appeared turned out, disconnect it from a stopper, form it, shown on a photo, and insert the jack into a stopper (it is established with a small tightness). In the presence of signs of ageing, cracks, ruptures and other damages replace the jack.
