The lay brake has a mechanical drive from the lever 1 ( fig. 8.9). Through a groove directing 7 there passes an average part of the back cable which tension regulate a nut screwed on a carving tip of a forward cable. Between directing 7 and an adjusting nut the plug 8 is established распорная.
On the back ends of a cable there are tips, each of which is connected to a hook of the lever 11 manual drives колодок. This lever шарнирно is attached by a finger to brake колодке and the top part rests against a groove распорной laths 10. In an opposite groove of a lath the edge brake pad is established.
Replacement of a back cable of a lay brake
Back cable replace at excessive вытягивании (impossibility of adjustment of a lay brake), mechanical damages and mobility loss to a cover.
It be required to you: keys «on 8», «on 13» (two), pincers of type "cobra", пассатижи.

1. Remove a brake drum (Removal and installation of a brake drum »see«).

2. Ослабьте a counternut inhaling on a tip of a forward cable.
|
3. Keeping a tip from проворачивания pincers, turn on till the end of a tip a counternut and an adjusting nut.

|
|
|
4. Remove a spring.
|
5. Keeping a tip from проворачивания, remove from a tip a counternut, an adjusting nut and распорную the plug.
|
|
|
|
|
6. Remove from a tip directing and disconnect it from a cable.
|
7. Deduce a cable from an arm of a beam of the back bridge and...
|
|
|
|
|
8.... From an aperture of an arm of a body.
|
9. Turn out two bolts of fastening of the holder of a cover of a cable to a brake board.
|
|
|
|
|
10. Disconnect a tip of a cable of a drive of a lay brake from the drive lever.
|
11. Extend a cable from an aperture of a brake board.
|
|
12. Similarly remove the right branch of a cable and remove a back cable from the car.
|
|
13. Establish on the car a new cable in an order, the return to removal.
|
|
14. Adjust lay brake system (Check and adjustment of a lay brake »see«).

Replacement of the lever and forward cable of a lay brake
The lever in gathering replace at deterioration or damage of gear sector or the doggie.
Forward cable replace at excessive вытягивании (impossibility of adjustment of a lay brake) or mechanical damages.
It be required to you: a key «on 13», пассатижи, a screw-driver.

1. Disconnect a back cable with directing from a tip of a forward cable («Replacement of a back cable of a lay brake» see).

2. Remove facing of a tunnel of a floor (Removal and installation of facing of a tunnel of a floor »see«).

|
|
|
3. Turn out two bolts of fastening of an arm of the lever to a floor and remove the lever.
|
4. Remove a lock ring of an axis of the lever.
|
|
|
|
|
5. Take out a lever axis.
|
6. Extend a cable in salon.
|
|
7. Establish a new cable and the lever in an order, the return to removal.
|
|
8. Adjust lay brake system (Check and adjustment of a lay brake »see«).
