The brake mechanism of a forward wheel (fig. 8.6) disk with floating three-piston скобой. The block of cylinders 1 is fixed in a support on two directing and fixed by a spring clamp.

Removal and installation of a support of the forward brake mechanism
Support of the forward brake mechanism remove for its replacement or replacement of working cylinders and a brake disk.

       NOTES
Work is more convenient for carrying out on the lift. It is possible to execute it on the car established on support.
Removal and installation are shown on an example of the right support, left remove and establish similarly.

It be required to you: a key «on 14», пассатижи, выколотка, a hammer.
1. Remove a corresponding wheel.
2. Clear the brake mechanism of a dirt. For simplification of dismantling put on places of connections of fingers with a support and clamping levers a liquid of type WD-40.
3. Turn out two bolts of fastening of a collector.

THE NOTE
Pay attention, under bolts sealing rings are established. Replace strongly pressed out ring.

4. Take out шплинт axes of the clamping lever.
5. Take out an axis; if it because of corrosion sits densely, beat out it выколоткой.
6. Remove top clamping the lever.

      
THE NOTE
Pay attention, in nests directing under the clamping lever there are two springs, do not lose them.

7. Take out and examine springs of the clamping lever. The springs broken or lost elasticity replace.
8. Hook a screw-driver and...
9.... Remove a support.
10. For return installation bring bottom directing скос a support under bottom clamping the lever, press a support to колодкам, establish top clamping the lever, insert an axis of the lever a head towards a wheel and зашплинтуйте it.

GOOD ADVICE
Before installation of an axis of the clamping lever grease with its greasing Litol-24 or graphitic greasing.

11. Attach a collector and pump over a hydrodrive of brakes («Prorolling of a hydrodrive of brake system» see).

Replacement brake колодок the forward brake mechanism
Is minimum admissible thickness of frictional overlays brake колодок – 1,5 mm. Replace pad in following cases:
– A thickness of overlays less than 1,5 mm;
– The surface of overlays is made oily;
– Overlays are unsteadily connected to the basis;
– Overlays have deep furrows and сколы.


GOOD ADVICE
If you for any reasons have removed a forward wheel, check up through an aperture in the case brake скобы a condition колодок.
If a thickness of frictional overlays about 2 mm, replace pad. If at braking the car withdraws aside or extraneous noise is audible, remove brake pad and check up their condition.

It be required to you: a jack, противооткатные an emphasis, a screw-driver, пассатижи, выколотка, a metal brush, a hammer.

       PREVENTIONS
Weaken and tighten nuts of fastening of wheels only on the car standing on the earth.
Do not apply gasoline, diesel fuel or any other mineral solvents to clearing of brakes.
Колодки it is necessary to replace in brake mechanisms of both forward wheels simultaneously.
Replacement internal and external колодок among themselves, and also between the left and right wheel is inadmissible. It can lead to non-uniform braking.

1. Brake the car a lay brake and establish противооткатные an emphasis under back wheels.
2. Remove a forward wheel.
3. Clear the brake mechanism of a dirt. For simplification of dismantling put on places of connections of fingers with a support and clamping levers a liquid of type WD-40.
4. Pump out from a tank a liquid part if before replacement колодок level of a brake liquid is in a tank on a mark «MAX» or comes nearer to it.
5. Remove a support (Removal and installation of a support of the forward brake mechanism »see«), without disconnecting from it a hydrodrive collector.
6. Accurately suspend a support on a wire or take aside so that it did not disturb to work.
7. Take from directing brake pad.
8. Before installation new brake колодок clear of a dirt and a rust grooves directing, accurately press pistons as it is possible further in cylinders.
9. Establish new brake pad in grooves of the directing.
10. Establish a support.
11. After installation brake колодок press some times a pedal of a brake for installation of pistons into position.
12. Check up level of a brake liquid in a tank and if necessary add to norm.

       GOOD ADVICE
Having replaced worn out brake pad new, do not hasten to leave at once on brisk highways. It is not excluded that at the first intensive braking you will be unpleasantly amazed by low efficiency of brakes though pad have put the firm. Brake disks too wear out, and new pad concern them only with edges, practically without braking. Choose a silent small street or journey without cars and some times smoothly brake, that pad have got used and began to adjoin all surface. At the same time also estimate efficiency of brakes. Also try not to brake sharply at least the first 100 km. At strong heating not earned extra колодок the top layer of their overlays burns slightly also brakes long will not be as much as possible effective.

Replacement of working cylinders of the forward brake mechanism
The block of cylinders of the forward brake mechanism change at occurrence of a leak of a brake liquid through sealing rings, at damage of protective covers of pistons, and also at jamming of pistons owing to corrosion.

1. Remove a support from the car (Removal and installation of a support of the forward brake mechanism »see«).

4. Remove the block of cylinders from a support.
5. Take out a clamp together with a spring from the block of cylinders.
6. Establish the block of cylinders in sequence, return to removal. Thus drown a clamp in a nest of the block of cylinders and easy blows of a hammer through wooden брусок rebuff the block of cylinders in a support until the clamp will not enter into a support aperture.
7. Establish a support on the car and pump over a hydrodrive of brakes.

Replacement of a brake disk
At presence on a working surface of a disk задиров, deep рисок and other defects increasing deterioration колодок and reducing efficiency of braking, and also in case of the raised lateral palpation of the disk causing vibrations at braking, replace a disk. In specialised workshops such disk can be pierced and прошлифовать from both parties on identical depth, but after processing the thickness of a disk should be not less is minimum admissible.
Is minimum admissible thickness of a brake disk of 9,5 mm. If the thickness of a disk is less, it is necessary to replace it. Axial palpation of a surface of a brake disk should not exceed 0,15 mm.
It be required to you: keys «on 10», «on 14», «on 17», «on 27» (it is desirable a head with strong воротком), пассатижи, выколотка, a screw-driver, a hammer.

       GOOD ADVICE
Replace disks of both brake mechanisms simultaneously.

1. Remove a support (Removal and installation of a support of the forward brake mechanism »see«), without disconnecting from it a brake hose. Suspend a support on a cord or a wire, thus watch, that the brake hose was not overwound and has not been strongly tense.
2. Remove brake pad (Replacement brake колодок the forward brake mechanism »see«). Mark them that at assemblage to establish on former places.
3. Turn out a bolt of fastening of a casing.
4. Unbend a screw-driver a short moustache of a lock plate top and...
5.... Bottom bolts of fastening directing колодок to a rotary fist.
6. Turn out bottom (it is shown on a photo) and top bolts of fastening directing колодок.
7. Remove a casing...
8.... And directing колодок.
9. Turn away a nave nut...
10.... Also remove a nave in gathering with a brake disk.
11. Screw nuts on hairpins not to spoil a carving of hairpins, and beat out hairpins (on a photo one is shown).
12. Tapping with a hammer on nave edge...
13.... Separate a nave and a brake disk.
14. Establish a new brake disk and the removed details in sequence, return to removal. Thus do not forget законтрить bolts of fastening directing колодок, having bent short moustaches of lock plates.

       THE NOTE
Before disk installation carefully clear of a rust and scale привалочные nave and disk surfaces as their slightest particle clamped between привалочными by surfaces, will cause palpation of a disk and vibration at braking.

       GOOD ADVICE
If establish a former disk, remove a file fillets on working surfaces of the disk, formed as a result of deterioration of a disk from both parties.
For return запрессовки earlier выпрессованных hairpins it is possible to take advantage of nuts of fastening of a wheel. Screw them on the ends of hairpins through prorates (it is possible to use as nut prorates большего the size) and in regular intervals tighten cross-wise to full запрессовки hairpins in a disk and a nave.
