1.10. Rear-view mirrors

On the car external rear-view mirrors both with manual adjustment of position, and with the electric drive can be established. The internal mirror has only manual adjustment of position.

For manual adjustment of position of an external mirror move in the necessary direction the lever of the hinge established in a support of a mirror.

If the car is equipped by mirrors with the electric drive, on facing of a tunnel of a floor the block of management by mirrors (fig. 1.14) which can be executed in two variants of an operating element is established: with one key (fig. 1.14,) or with a key and a cursor (fig. 1.14,).

For a choice of optimum position of a mirror the block with a key consistently incline a key 2 (fig. 1.14,) in the directions specified by an arrow, and for a choice of an adjustable mirror – rotate a key on 90 ° round its axis. The adjustable mirror is defined by a direction of a label 1.

THE NOTE As the key has only two fixed positions, at the included ignition the electric drive of one of mirrors constantly is energised.

For a choice of an adjustable mirror the block of the second variant of execution move in the necessary direction a cursor 4 (fig. 1.14,), and for adjustment – press edges of a key 5 in the places designated by arrows. In extreme positions of a cursor the feed circuit left (the letter «L») or right (the letter «R») mirrors joins and the corresponding signalling device 3 lights up. On the average position of a cursor the electric drive of mirrors is switched off.

Position of an internal rear-view mirror regulate its turn in the necessary party on the arm hinge. For prevention of blinding by light of headlights moving behind transport it is possible to change turn of the lever of a support of a reflecting element its position.
