3.1. The engine is not got

Problems with start-up of the automobile engine can be divided on two basic groups depending on degree of heating of the engine.

The engine cold
From the moment of engine deenergizing has passed not less than 6 ч at temperature of external air +20 °С and not less than 3 ч at–20 °С, the oil temperature in картере the engine coincides with an ambient temperature. Malfunctions of system of start-up
Malfunctions in start-up system are shown in abnormal work of a starter. It is possible to allocate five basic malfunctions of a starter:

1. The starter does not join. The reason – infringement of contact connections, breakage or short circuit in chains of inclusion of a starter, malfunction of the traction relay.
2. At starter inclusion repeated clicks are audible. The reason – malfunction of a keeping winding of the traction relay, is strongly discharged the storage battery, contact connections in a starter chain are weakened.
3. The starter joins, but its anchor either does not rotate, or rotates slowly. The reason – is discharged the storage battery, infringement of contact connections, подгорание contacts of the traction relay, pollution of a collector or a deterioration of brushes, междувитковое or short circuit in windings.
4. The starter joins, its anchor rotates, but the flywheel remains motionless. The reason – easing of fastening of a starter to картеру couplings, damage of teeths of a flywheel or a drive gear wheel, proslipping муфты a free wheeling of a drive, lever breakage, поводкового a ring or a buffer spring of a drive of a starter.
5. The starter is not switched off after engine start-up. The reason – malfunction муфты a starter free wheeling, sintering of contacts of the traction relay. In case of such malfunction immediately stop the engine!
The specified malfunctions demand the qualified intervention on car-care centre or after arrival to garage (section 9 "Electric equipment" see). Check of system of ignition

       THE PREVENTION

5. If the spark is not present, replace high-voltage wires new. It is possible preliminary to try to establish not new, but checked up, «from the working car».
6. If after replacement of wires the spark has not appeared, replace the ignition module (section 9 "Electric equipment" see).Если a spark is, but the engine is not got, replace spark plugs new. It is possible preliminary also to try to establish not new, but checked up, «from the working car».
