9.28. Automobile anticreeping system (АПС)

Features of a design
On the car the anticreeping system (immobilizer) АПС-6 is established.

immobilizer it is intended for an exception of possibility of unapproved start-up of the engine of the car and works together with an electronic control system of the engine.
immobilizer represents the electronic block, not allowing to start up the engine without use of the ignition key or by means of an extraneous key. The electronic code key is built in an ignition key head. At attempt of start-up of the engine without use of the ignition key with the built in code key immobilizer, without receiving the information on a key code, submits to the electronic block engine management (controller) the special code command forbidding start-up of the engine. immobilizer has protection against selection of keys, and also protection against reading of the code transferred on a code line on the controller.
immobilizer passes in a protection mode automatically at ignition deenergizing. Also automatically immobilizer leaves a protection mode at inclusion of ignition without performance by the driver of additional actions.
In immobilizerе АПС-6 it is used contactless (transponderный) a way of reading of a code of a key by the receiver located in the switch (lock) of ignition. A code key with the built in cryptographic block (transponderом), allowing to transfer a key code in the ciphered, constantly changing kind, does not require food elements. immobilizer complete with two ignition keys. One key the worker – with a black insert, another – training, with a red insert (section 1 «the car Device», «car Keys» see).

       THE NOTE
immobilizer can prevent unapproved start-up of the engine only in the event that in the controller of a control system the engine activates anticreeping function. If this function is not activated, engine start-up is possible without participation immobilizerа. Activate anticreeping function during training procedure immobilizerа (training Procedure immobilizerа »see«). After activation to disconnect anticreeping function in the controller of a control system of the engine it is impossible.

For engine start-up it is possible to use both working, and the training ignition key. However at car operation it is necessary to use for this purpose only a working key for following reasons:
– The training key stores system codes. Therefore, if it is lost, at malfunction occurrence immobilizerа replacement of the expensive controller of a control system with the engine is required. Training key store separately from a bunch of keys and do not use it in usual conditions;
– The training key has lower cryptographic protection, than a working key. Therefore to read codes of system from such key if it gets to the malefactor, theoretically considerably it is easier;
– Reading of the information from a training key occurs longer, than from the worker. At a bad condition of the storage battery and strong electromagnetic hindrances it can lead to the complicated start-up of the engine;
– After ignition deenergizing by a training key immobilizer necessarily begins training procedure. Training procedure is accompanied by additional indication by a control lamp that can disorient the driver.
If it is not enough for daily operation of one working key, immobilizer allows to train one more additional working key. Thus, in system two workers and one training key can be simultaneously used.
If the working key is lost, it is possible to erase the information on it from memory immobilizerа and if necessary to train a new key by means of a training key. If the training key is lost, deleting of the information on keys and training of new keys is impossible.
immobilizer has the built in function of self-diagnostics with delivery of the message on malfunction by means of an alarm lamp in a combination of devices and an internal buzzer. Besides, it is possible to diagnose immobilizer by means of a tester working under diagnostic report KWP2000.
Besides protection against unapproved start-up of the engine, immobilizer carries out additional functions:
– Management of a delay of clearing of a plafond of internal illumination;
– Inclusion and deenergizing of back antifog fires;
– The prevention of a key left in the lock of ignition;
– The prevention about left included dimensional fires;
– Management электростеклоподъемниками.

Work immobilizerа
At engine start-up during the moment ignition inclusion immobilizer reads out a code of the electronic code key which has been built in a head of the ignition key. If считанный the code coincides with the code which has been written down in memory immobilizerа immobilizer leaves a protection mode. After that the controller requests at immobilizerа the information on a current condition of protection. If the controller receives from immobilizerа the answer that protection is removed, it gives out acknowledgement that engine start-up will be resolved. Otherwise the controller will not give out acknowledgement on possibility of start-up of the engine and will not resolve work of systems of ignition and fuel injection.
Approximately through 3 with the ambassador of inclusion of ignition immobilizer shows result of self-diagnostics of system by means of a control lamp in a combination of devices and a buzzer. If the key code was считан successfully and the controller has resolved engine start-up, the control lamp remains switched off all time till the moment of deenergizing of ignition. If immobilizer has not received from the controller acknowledgement of the permission of start-up of the engine the control lamp through 3 with the ambassador of inclusion of ignition starts to blink (approximately once a second). Such blinking proceeds 15 with. During time and after the termination of a blinking of a lamp the buzzer informs on type of the arisen malfunction different quantity of sound signals twice:
– 1 signal – it is impossible to consider a code of an electronic key;
– 2 signals – communication between immobilizerом and the controller of a control system of the engine is broken;
– 3 signals – a code, считанный from a key, are absent in memory immobilizerа;
– 4 signals – the controller are not confirmed with the permission to engine start-up.
In case of malfunction indication switch off ignition, wait not less than 10 with then again include ignition. If an error repeats, address on servicing deport. A special case when anticreeping function in the controller is not made active. Such controller always gives out acknowledgement on start-up of the serviceable engine. In this case the control lamp immobilizerа through 3 with the ambassador of inclusion of ignition lights up and burns constantly 15 with, and then dies away. It means that the engine can be started up irrespective of presence of a code key. For activization of anticreeping function in the engine management controller it is necessary to carry out training procedure (training Procedure immobilizerа »see«).
After deenergizing of ignition and an engine stop immobilizer does not pass in a mode of protection 10 more with. During this time it is possible to start up repeatedly the engine and without participation of a code key. Through 10 with the ambassador of deenergizing of ignition immobilizer passes in a mode of protection and any more will not resolve start-up of the engine without participation of a code key.
If ignition has been switched off by a training key the control lamp immobilizerа starts to blink with the raised frequency (5 times a second). Such blinking means the beginning of procedure of training immobilizerа. In this case it is not recommended to include ignition by other working key earlier than through 6 with the ambassador of deenergizing of ignition (while the lamp blinks) as it can lead to casual performance of procedure of conversion training. If you have by mistake included ignition by a working key, immobilizer will submit three sound signals directly at the moment of ignition inclusion, warning about continuation of a mode of training. In this case it is necessary to switch off ignition and to wait nearby 6 with, the control lamp will not cease to blink yet.

       THE NOTE
Repeated inclusion of ignition by the same training key by which ignition even if the lamp still blinks has been switched off is supposed.

Training procedure immobilizerа
For activation of anticreeping function carry out training procedure immobilizerа. After full performance of all procedure of training:
– In the controller of a control system by the engine it will be activated anticreeping function if it has not been activated before;
– The system will change the password on new, chosen in a random way;
– In training key the new password of system will register;
– The information on all before the trained working keys will be erased from memory;
– In memory codes of those working keys which have been trained in the given procedure of training will be brought.
Training procedure immobilizerа apply in following cases:
– For activation of anticreeping function in the controller (for example, on the new car or at replacement of the faulty controller);
– At утере working keys for deleting of the information on old working keys and training of new keys;
– For change of the password of system if the owner assumes that the password could be считан (for example, at car sale by one owner to another);
– At replacement faulty immobilizerа new to training of working keys.

       THE NOTE
immobilizer АПС-6 can train two working keys. It is possible to train only new working keys (i.e. what have not been trained before another immobilizerом) or what have been trained before by means of the training key used in given procedure of training. To train working keys it is possible only together with the controller in which anticreeping function, or with that controller which has been trained together with the training key used in given procedure of training is not made active.

For training immobilizerа:
1. Close all doors of the car. Include ignition by a training key and make endurance with the included ignition not less than 6 with.
2. Switch off ignition. The control lamp should start to blink with the increased frequency (5 times a second) all time while training procedure is correctly carried out. The termination of a fast blinking of a lamp means wrong action, excess of time provided for performance of procedure of training, or malfunction. Take out training key from the ignition lock.
3. While the control lamp blinks (nearby 6), insert a working key into the lock and include ignition. If all is made correctly, the buzzer will submit three sound signals at the moment of ignition inclusion.
4. Make endurance with the included ignition (nearby 6) before giving by a buzzer of two more sound signals. If through 6 about a buzzer has not submitted sound signals, and the fast blinking of a control lamp has stopped, switch off ignition and start procedure over again. If and repeatedly it is not possible to finish training procedure it means malfunction or that the given working key already has been trained another immobilizerом.
5. Switch off ignition.

       THE NOTE
If it is necessary to train the second working key once again execute operations 3–5, including ignition by the second trained working key. If such necessity is not present, continue training procedure.

6. While the control lamp blinks (nearby 6), take out the trained working key from the ignition lock, insert again training key into the lock and include ignition. If all is made correctly, the buzzer will submit three sound signals at the moment of ignition inclusion.
7. Make endurance with the included ignition (nearby 6) till the moment of giving by a buzzer of two more sound signals.
8. Switch off ignition, but do not take out training key from the ignition lock. Approximately through 6 with the ambassador of deenergizing of ignition the buzzer should give a single sound signal, and the control lamp should start to blink twice more often.

       THE NOTE
If the buzzer has not given a sound signal, and the fast blinking of a lamp has stopped, it is necessary to switch off ignition and to start training procedure over again. If and repeatedly it is not possible to finish training procedure it means malfunction or that this training key does not approach to the given controller.

9. Not later than through 6 with the ambassador of a sound signal (while the lamp quickly blinks) include ignition by the same training key. Having waited 2–3 with, switch off ignition. Not later than through 5 with the ambassador of deenergizing of ignition the buzzer should submit three sound signals, and the fast blinking of a control lamp should stop. Do not include ignition still a minimum 10 with.

       THE NOTE
At work the termination of a blinking of a lamp and giving by a buzzer of three sound signals occurs to some controllers already at ignition inclusion. In this case all the same it is necessary to switch off ignition and to wait not less than 10 with.

Upon termination of training procedure repeated synchronisation of codes immobilizerа and the controller as after the termination of procedure of training the controller can not allow to start up the engine at the first inclusion of ignition can be demanded. For carrying out of repeated synchronisation of codes include ignition by any trained key (it is desirable for workers). Make endurance 6 with. If the control lamp immobilizerа has started to display an erroneous condition of system (to blink 1 time a second), switch off ignition and wait not less than 10 with. After that again include ignition. The lamp should not blink, and the engine should be started up.
If through 3 with the ambassador of inclusion of ignition the control lamp lights up constant light, it means that anticreeping function of the controller is not activated also training procedure it is necessary to repeat anew.

The possible supernumerary situations arising while in service immobilizerа
At утере a working key it is necessary to get preparation of a new key and to cut it for work with the lock of ignition established on the car. Then execute training procedure immobilizerа (training Procedure immobilizerа »see«), having applied available training key and a new working key.
At утере a training key it is impossible to carry out procedure of training of keys. It means that it is possible to continue car operation only with an available working key. In a case loss and the remained working key or at malfunction immobilizerа it is necessary to replace as immobilizer, and the controller new. After such replacement it is possible to cut new preparation of a training key for work with the lock of ignition established on the car, and to carry out training procedure (training Procedure immobilizerа »see«).

       GOOD ADVICE
In connection with importance of a training key it is recommended not to store this key on one sheaf with workers and not to use it in daily operation.

After replacement faulty immobilizerа new it is necessary to carry out procedure of training of system (training Procedure immobilizerа »see«). Thus it is necessary to use already available training key from faulty immobilizerа.
immobilizer АПС-6 supposes possibility of start-up of the engine without carrying out of procedure of training. Such start-up can be made only that training key which was used before at activization of anticreeping function of the controller of management of the engine established on the car.
Start up the engine as follows:
– Close all doors;
– Include ignition by a training key, but do not start up the engine;
– Switch off ignition (the control lamp immobilizerа should start to blink quickly);
– Not later than through 6 with the ambassador of deenergizing of ignition (while the lamp blinks) it is necessary to include again ignition by a training key and to start up the engine.
At malfunction of its controller it is possible to replace with the new controller in which anticreeping function is not activated. At such replacement the controller will resolve start-up of the engine irrespective of immobilizerа. For activation of anticreeping function of the new controller it is necessary to execute training procedure (training Procedure immobilizerа »see«), using available training and working keys.
Replacement of the faulty controller by another in which anticreeping function but only if the same training key by which anticreeping function in again established controller has been activated is used thus is already activated is supposed. Using training key from again established controller, it is necessary to carry out procedure of training of system.
At replacement of the lock of ignition it is necessary to replace electronic code elements (transponderы) in heads of ignition keys of the new lock with corresponding code elements from keys from the lock of the ignition which have been removed from the car.
After such replacement it is not required to spend procedure of training.

Additional functions immobilizerа АПС-6
Management of a delay of clearing of a plafond of internal illumination. This function allows to provide illumination of salon during some time after closing of doors of the car that facilitates actions of the driver in a night-time.
For work of this function the plafond should be switched off a key of its switch.
At the switched off ignition and opening of any door the plafond lights up and all time while the door is opened burns. After closing of a door the plafond remains included 12 more with then during 4 with smoothly dies away.
If again to open a door while the plafond definitively has not gone out the plafond joins full heat and all time while the door is opened burns.
If to translate the ignition key in position "is included", while the plafond has not gone out, the plafond dies away at once.
At the included ignition opening of a door of the driver does not lead to plafond inclusion, at opening of any other door the plafond joins, and at closing – is switched off without a delay.
Inclusion and deenergizing of back antifog fires. To include back antifog fires it is possible pressing the button of inclusion of back antifog fires only in the event that headlights of head light or antifog headlights are included. If back antifog fires are already included, to switch off them it is possible repeated pressing not the button.
At deenergizing of dimensional fires back antifog fires are switched off automatically.
The prevention of a key left in the lock of ignition. If ignition is switched off, but in the ignition lock the key at opening of a door of the driver a buzzer gives a sound signal (trill) is left.
The prevention about left included dimensional fires. If ignition is switched off, but there were included lamps of dimensional fires at opening of a door of the driver a buzzer submits 2 sound signals.
Management электростеклоподъемниками is possible:
– Always at the included ignition;
– During 30 with from the moment of ignition deenergizing if car doors did not open. If the door has opened, and the key is already taken out at this time from the ignition lock management электростеклоподъемниками becomes impossible at once after door opening;
– After deenergizing of ignition and opening of any door if the key is in the ignition lock. If the door was closed or a key will take out from the lock management стеклоподъемниками becomes impossible.
