9.2. Safety locks and the relay

The assembly block of safety locks and the relay
The majority of feed circuits of an electric equipment of the car is protected by fuses. The chain of a charge of the storage battery, a chain of start-up of the engine, the generator are not protected by safety locks.

Safety locks and the relay are established in the block (fig. 9.1) which is in car salon under the panel of devices on the left side from a steering column. The scheme of internal connections of the assembly block is presented on fig. 9.2.

       THE NOTE
The cover of the block of safety locks is for descriptive reasons removed.

Replacement of safety locks and the relay
Before to replace fused safety lock, find out the reason of its combustion and eliminate it. At troubleshooting see the chains specified in tab. 9.1 which are protected by the given safety lock.

       GOOD ADVICE
Always have with itself the complete set of spare safety locks.

       THE PREVENTION
Do not replace safety locks with crosspieces and the safety locks calculated on other current strength, or a self-made crosspiece. It can lead to damage of electric devices and even to a fire.

1. Turn out two screws of fastening of a cover of the block of safety locks.
2. Uncover and by means of the plastic tweezers which are in the block...
3.... Take out a safety lock.
4. For relay replacement take out it from the block of safety locks and the relay.
5. Establish new safety locks and the relay in an order, the return to removal.

Removal and installation of the block of safety locks and the relay
1. Turn out two screws and uncover the block of safety locks and the relay.
2. Turn out screws of fastening of the block.
3. Take away the block downwards so that to get access to колодкам wires.
4. Disconnect pad with wires, preliminary having marked them.
5. Hook a screw-driver and remove колодку the additional unloading relay from the block.
6. Remove the block of safety locks and the relay from the car.
7. Establish the block of safety locks and the relay in an order, the return to removal.

The block of the relay and safety locks of system of injection
The block of the relay and safety locks of system of injection is located under the panel of devices around feet of the passenger.

       THE PREVENTION
Replacement of the fused safety lock with a safety lock of other face value or a self-made crosspiece is not supposed.

Safety locks of electrofans of system of cooling
Safety locks of electrofans of system of cooling are in the block of safety locks and the relay of system of injection.
1. For replacement of safety locks uncover the block of safety locks, having turned out the screw of its fastening.
2. Take out left and...
3.... Right safety locks.
4. Examine and replace fused safety locks.
