9.19. A combination of devices

All control devices of the car are united in a combination of devices. It includes: an electronic speedometer and a tachometre, the liquid crystal indicator of the counter of the general and daily run (одометр), the liquid crystal indicator of hours and air temperature, the index of temperature of a cooling liquid, the index of level of the fuel, twelve control lamps and six lamps of illumination. In detail elements of a combination of devices are described in section 1 «the car Device».

Work of devices the electronic module in which signals from gauges arrive operates. Indexes of temperature and fuel level – magnetoelectric type. Arrows of a tachometre and a speedometer are put in action by step-by-step electric motors.

The electronic combination of devices is not subject to repair, except for replacement of control lamps and lamps of illumination of devices. Making knots of a combination of devices in spare parts are not delivered. Therefore in default one of devices it is necessary to replace a combination in gathering.

GOOD ADVICE Not to damage glass of a combination of devices, do not clear it by means of any solvents. It is possible to wash out its weak soap solution. Is better to use a cleaner of glasses, for example "Second".

When the arrow of the index of temperature of a cooling liquid is constantly in the scale beginning, at the included ignition disconnect a wire from the gauge of the index and connect a tip of a wire to "weight". If the arrow deviates, the gauge is faulty and it is necessary to replace it, and if does not deviate, check up the index in a combination of devices («Check of devices» see) and a wire connecting the gauge and the index. If the temperature index is faulty, replace a combination of devices.

The technique of check of the index of level of fuel is similar described above. If the arrow of the index is constantly in the beginning of a scale and does not deviate after short circuit with "weight" of a tip of the wire disconnected from the gauge check up the index (see «Check of devices»). If the index of level of fuel is faulty, replace a combination of devices.

The combination of devices has the built in system of self-diagnostics. This system allows to hold testing of a combination of devices for the car.

1. At the switched off ignition press and keep the button of dump of indications of daily run. Include ignition and release the button. After that the combination of devices passes "test" in a mode: arrows of all devices three times make movement on all range of a scale and all segments of the liquid crystal indicator (ЖКИ) are highlighted.

2. Clear memory of the processor of an electronic combination of devices, having pressed the button of dump of indications одометра and keeping it not less than 5 with.

3. Hold repeated testing. After that quickly press and release the button of dump of indications одометра. On ЖКИ there will be number of a variant of the software of the processor (Uer 0.8, Uer 1.1 or another).

4. By repeated pressing of the button of dump there will be one of following codes:

0 – malfunctions are absent;

1 – the microprocessor is faulty;

2 – breakage of a chain of the gauge of the index of level of fuel;

4 – the raised pressure in an onboard network (it is more 16+1,8);

8 – the lowered pressure in an onboard network (it is less 8–0,6).

If it is some malfunctions, the corresponding sum of codes, for example is highlighted: 6 (2+4), 10 (2+8), 12 (4+8), 14 (2+4+8).

Also it is possible to check up the index of temperature of a cooling liquid. For this purpose take advantage of the help data from the table.

The gauge of the index of temperature of a cooling liquid has the variable resistor changing the resistance depending on temperature of the cooling liquid. For gauge check measure resistance on its conclusions by means of an ohmmeter and compare to the data resulted in the table.

The gauge of a control lamp of pressure of oil is established in a head of the block of cylinders. Gauge contacts should become isolated and be disconnected at pressure 20–60 кПа (0,2–0,6 kgs/sm²).

The gauge of the index of level of fuel is united with an electrogasoline pump established in a fuel tank. The gauge has the variable resistor from нихромовой a wire. Mobile contact of the resistor moves under the influence of the lever with a float. At an empty tank (the bottom position of a float) resistance of the gauge should be 315–345 Ohm, with a tank filled half, – 108–128 Ohm, and at a full tank – no more than 7 Ohm.

1. Disconnect a wire from the plug "minus" of the storage battery.

2. Turn out screws in the top part of a guard of the panel of devices.	3. Remove decorative заглушки near to the block of control lamps and...

4.... To the right of the alarm system switch.	5. Turn out the screws located under заглушками.

6. Having hooked the pointed tool, take the block of control lamps and...	7.... Disconnect from the block колодку a plait of wires.

8. Pull on itself a guard, removing it from the panel of devices and...	9.... Drawing in a finger a clamp of fastening of a guard.

10. Disconnect from a guard pad plaits of wires and...

GOOD ADVICE Mark sockets not to mix at assemblage.

11.... Remove a guard of the panel of devices.	12. Turn out screws of fastening of a combination of devices on the right and...

13.... At the left.	14. Put forward on itself a combination and...

15.... Disconnect from it pad plaits of wires.

16. Establish a combination of devices and the removed details in an order, the return to removal.

All control lamps in a combination of devices replace equally.

1. Disconnect a wire from the plug "minus" of the storage battery.

2. Remove a combination of devices (Removal and installation of a combination of devices »see«).

3. Turn a lamp cartridge counter-clockwise and take from the case of a combination of devices.	4. Take a lamp from a cartridge.

5. Establish a new lamp in an order, the return to removal.
