4.12. Replacement успокоителя chains of a drive of a camshaft

Успокоитель it is located in a forward part of a head of the block at the left and it is attached to it outside by two bolts. At deterioration or damage успокоителя on some power setting there can be resonant fluctuations of a leading branch of a chain that can lead перескакиванию to a chain on teeths of an asterisk of a camshaft and to serious damage of the engine.

It be required to you: a screw-driver, a key (it is desirable face) «on 10».

1. Uncover heads of the block of cylinders («Replacement of a lining of a cover of a head of the block of cylinders» see).

2. Remove натяжитель chains of a drive of a camshaft (Replacement натяжителя chains of a drive of a camshaft »see«).

3. Remove from a flange of a camshaft an asterisk, without separating it with a chain (Check and installation of phases timing on labels »see«).	4. Turn out two bolts of fastening успокоителя, having begun with the bottom bolt, and...

5.... Having fixed an asterisk together with a chain, as is shown in a photo, remove успокоитель, having taken out the top bolt of fastening.

THE PREVENTION At removal успокоителя reliably keep his hand, differently fallen in the oil pallet успокоитель it will be very difficult to take.

6. Examine removed успокоитель. If on its working surface there is a deep development from a chain and сколы or on the case успокоителя there are cracks and обломы, replace успокоитель.

THE NOTE Pay attention to the original form успокоителя – it differs from успокоителей, before applied on engines VAZ. Get precisely same успокоитель.

7. Establish new успокоитель in an order, the return to removal.

8. Establish earlier removed details upside-down.
