The fulfilled gases are taken away from the engine through its final collector in a reception pipe 13 (fig. 4.16), neutralizer 7, the additional muffler 8 and the basic muffler 9.

For an exception of bending loadings in system at moving of the power unit on pillows of support and for prevention of transfer of vibration from release system on a body the reception pipe is connected to a neutralizer flange through the mobile hinge as which consolidation serves toroidal металлографитное a ring 11.

The reception pipe is fixed on hairpins of a final collector through a sealing lining 2. Under nuts of fastening of a reception pipe lock plates 1 are established. The second end of a reception pipe through скобу 12 is attached to an arm 4 established on a cover of a transmission.

Neutralizer 7 and the additional muffler 8 together with a pipe connecting them represent not folding knot.

The basic muffler is suspended to the body basis through rubber pillows 14 and just as the resonator and the additional muffler, together with pipes forms not folding knot.

GOOD ADVICE Periodically check system of release of the fulfilled gases. At the raised noise level from release system check up its tightness. For this purpose start up the engine and examine all system. Having spent a hand over places of possible leak, without concerning knots, you will feel at once leak of gases. If necessary replace the rusted and burnt through knots.

THE PREVENTION Before repair of system of release allow to it to cool down, as in an operating time of the engine it heats up to a heat. Exhaust gases are poisonous, and the poisoning with them occurs imperceptibly, therefore before engine start-up in garage necessarily open gate!

For removal and installation of knots of system it be required to you: keys «on 8», «on 10», two keys «on 13».

GOOD ADVICE At impossibility to replace defective knot new it is possible to restore temporarily its working capacity, having imposed a metal patch on the damaged place and having fixed its collars or a wire. Under a patch it is recommended to enclose asbestos sheet.

Besides, in shops of autospare parts there are on sale special complete sets for restoration of knots of system of release of the fulfilled gases, with which help it is possible to eliminate temporarily system damages to reach to car-care centre or garage.

Replace the pillows of a suspension bracket of the basic muffler torn, cracked or lost elasticity. Both pillows are fixed equally and vary the same receptions.

1. Shift a pillow on grooves of an arm of a body forward to its exit закраины from an arm and...	2.... Remove it from the arm of a suspension bracket welded on the muffler.

3. Establish a new pillow in an order, the return to removal. For simplification of installation of a pillow grease an arm of the muffler with a soap solution.

4. Similarly replace the second pillow.

1. Turn away a nut of two bolts of a collar of fastening of a pipe of the muffler to the additional muffler and remove a collar.	2. Separate a pipe and the muffler and take out a sealing ring (it is shown by an arrow).

3. Shift pillows in grooves of arms on a body before their separation with arms and...	4.... Remove the muffler together with pillows.

5. If necessary remove pillows from arms of the muffler («Replacement of pillows of a suspension bracket of the basic muffler» see).

6. Establish the new muffler in an order, the return to removal. Thus for simplification of installation of pillows on arms of the muffler and a body grease pillows with a soap solution.

As it was mentioned above («the System of release of the fulfilled gases» see, «Features of a design»), neutralizer and the additional muffler together represent the one-piece block replaced entirely at failure of its any element. Faults in work of system of ignition can become the reasons of an exit of neutralizer out of operation. Malfunction of neutralizer can be one of the reasons of sharp increase in the maintenance WITH in the fulfilled gases.

Before replacement for more exact check of working capacity of neutralizer address in a specialised workshop.

THE PREVENTION Neutralizer at work is warmed up to very heat (from above 600 °С), therefore it will cool down more slowly, than other knots of system of release.

GOOD ADVICE Try not to leave the car on platforms with a dry grass and leaves. Temperatures it is strong разогретого neutralizer it can appear enough to set fire to them.

1. Turn away two bolts of fastening of neutralizer to a reception pipe and...	2.... Holding neutralizer, take out bolts with springs.

3. Turn away a nut of two bolts of a collar of fastening of the additional muffler to a pipe of the basic muffler and remove a collar.	4. Separate a pipe and the muffler and remove the block of neutralizer with the additional muffler from the car.

5. Establish the new block of neutralizer and the additional muffler in an order, the return to removal. Thus replace the broken or given springs of fastening of the resonator and strongly pressed out металлографитное a sealing ring in connection of the additional muffler and a pipe of the basic muffler.

1. Remove the stabilizer of cross-section stability of a forward suspension bracket as it interferes with removal of a reception pipe (see «Removal and installation of the stabilizer of cross-section stability»).

2. Disconnect a plait of wires of the oxygen gauge from a motor plait.	3. Turn out the oxygen gauge from a reception pipe.

4. Turn away a nut of a coupling bolt скобы fastenings of a reception pipe to an arm and take out a bolt.	5. In case of need removals of the damaged arm turn on two nuts of its fastening to a transmission.

6. Turn out a bolt of the top fastening forward распорки an inlet pipe and take away распорку forward.	7. Unbend edges of two lock plates and...

8.... Turn away four nuts of fastening of a reception pipe to a final collector.	9. Turn out two bolts of fastening of neutralizer to a reception pipe and take out bolts with springs.

10. Remove a reception pipe, turning it along an axis.

11. If sealing металлографитное the ring remains on a reception pipe, remove it and establish on a new reception pipe. The damaged ring replace.

12. Replace the torn or burnt through lining of a flange of a reception pipe.

13. Screw in a new reception pipe the oxygen gauge.

14. Establish a reception pipe in an order, the return to removal. After pipe installation Tighten the nuts of its fastening to a final collector, having bent edges of lock plates.

15. Establish into place the stabilizer of cross-section stability.

The exhaust system in an engine operating time heats up to a heat. Therefore at mechanical damage or strong corrosion of the thermoscreens established between elements of system and the basis of a body, necessarily replace them. Besides decrease in level of comfort in salon, malfunction of thermoscreens can lead to ignition of a thermonoise isolation of a body floor as neutralizer of the fulfilled gases heats up to temperature from above 600 °С.

1. For removal of the forward thermoscreen remove neutralizer and the additional muffler (Replacement of neutralizer and the additional muffler »see«).

2. Turn out three bolts, turn away three nuts of fastening of the thermoscreen and...	3.... Remove its back and forward parts.

4. Establish the forward thermoscreen in sequence, return to removal.

5. For removal of the back thermoscreen remove the basic muffler («Replacement of the basic muffler» see).

6. Turn away four nuts of fastening of the screen to the body basis, two bolts of fastening of the amplifier of the screen to a cross-beam of a body and remove the screen.	7. If necessary disassemble the back thermoscreen, having turned away a nut of four bolts of fastening of the amplifier, and remove the amplifier.

8. Collect and establish the back thermoscreen in return sequence.
