Cooling system – liquid, the closed type, with compulsory circulation of a liquid, with a broad tank. The pump of a cooling liquid 2 (fig. 4.12) centrifugal type, is put in action from a pulley of a cranked shaft клиновым (or in alternative execution поликлиновым) by a belt.
Electrofans 6 with plastic крыльчатками are established in the general casing fixed on a back surface of a radiator 11, and force air through a radiator core in подкапотное space. Switches on and off electrofans depending on temperature of a cooling liquid the gauge 5 screwed in a reception branch pipe of a water shirt of a head of the block of cylinders.

The thermostat 15 with firm thermosensitive наполнителем has the basic 9 (fig. 4.13) and перепускной 2 valves. The beginning of opening of the basic valve at temperature охлаждаюшей liquids 79–82 °С, a course of the basic valve not less than 6 mm.

The cooling system is filled by a cooling liquid of Tosol-A40M.

       THE NOTE
The replacement procedure of a cooling liquid is described in the beginning of section 4 "Engine".

       THE PREVENTION
It is not recommended to fill system of cooling with water as the antifreeze structure includes anticorrosive and antimaking foam additives, and also the additives interfering adjournment of a scum.

Adjustment of a tension and replacement of a belt of a drive of the water pump and the generator
The insufficient tension of a belt worsens liquid circulation in cooling system that leads to an engine overheat. Additional charge of the storage battery besides worsens and повышенно the belt wears out.
At too strong tension bearings of the water pump and the generator can fail.
Check a tension of a belt of a drive of the water pump and the generator from above in подкапотном space.

The tension is characterised by size of a deflection of a belt between pulleys of the pump and a cranked shaft (deflection) (fig. 4.14) or pulleys of the generator and the pump (deflection) at the appendix of effort 98,1 Н (10 кгс) in the middle of distance between pulleys. The deflection And should be 10–15 mm, a deflection In – 12–17 mm.

       GOOD ADVICE

Belt tension regulate on the car established on the lift or a viewing ditch. Adjustment is carried out by moving of the generator concerning the engine.
It be required to you: a key «on 13», an assembly shovel.
1. Remove protection oil crankcase and an engine mudguard (Removal and installation of protection oil crankcase and an engine mudguard »see«).
2. Ослабьте approximately on one turn a nut of fastening of the generator to a tension lath and...
3.... A nut of the bottom fastening of the generator.
4. For increase in a tension of a belt move the generator from the engine.

       THE PREVENTION
Moving the generator for increase in a tension of a belt, effort put only to the generator case, placing an assembly shovel between the case and the engine.

5. For reduction of a tension of a belt by a hand move
The generator to the engine.
6. Without changing generator position, tighten a nut of fastening of the generator to a tension lath and a nut of the bottom fastening of the generator.
