4.13. Boot replacement натяжителя chains of a drive of a camshaft

At deterioration of a boot натяжителя chains the operation range натяжителя becomes insufficient for restoration of a tension of a chain. In this case replace a boot.

It be required to you: keys «on 10», «on 13», «on 17», a special key for a nut of fastening of a pulley of a cranked shaft, a screw-driver, an assembly shovel, a hammer, small beards.

THE NOTE To replace a boot успокоителя without radiator dismantle it is possible only at sufficient skill of the executor as the space between the engine and a radiator is not enough. If there is no experience of similar work, recommend to remove a radiator («the cooling System» see). Besides, for convenience of work it is recommended to remove protection oil crankcase and an engine mudguard as three bolts of fastening oil crankcase, simultaneously крепящие and a drive cover газораспределительного the mechanism, are remote from above from a motor compartment.

1. Remove натяжитель chains of a drive of a camshaft (Replacement натяжителя chains of a drive of a camshaft »see«).

2. Ослабьте a tension of a belt of a drive of the pump of the hydraulic booster of a steering (Check of a tension and adjustment of a belt of a drive of the pump of the hydraulic booster »see«) and remove a belt.	3. Disconnect колодку wires from the gauge of position of a cranked shaft.

4. Disconnect from the engine the pump of the hydraulic booster of a steering for what turn out two forward bolts of fastening of an arm of the pump...

THE NOTE Pay attention: under the top forward bolt the remote washer is established, do not lose it, and at return installation of the pump establish on a former place.

5.... Back and...	6.... Top bolts also take the pump aside together with an arm and hoses.

7. Turn away a nut of fastening of pulleys and remove pulleys.	8. Turn away three bolts of fastening of the pallet to a cover of a drive of a camshaft and ослабьте (having turned on on 2–3 turns) an inhaling of two bolts of fastening of the pallet next to them to картеру the engine.

9. Turn away other bolts and nuts of fastening of a cover of a drive of a camshaft and...	10.... Having hooked a screw-driver, uncover and...

11.... Its lining.

GOOD ADVICE At each removal of a cover replace its lining new even if the former lining remained whole. A new lining before installation grease from both parties with a thin layer of hermetic.

12. Remove натяжитель chains of a drive of a camshaft (Replacement натяжителя chains of a drive of a camshaft »see«).

13. Turn out a bolt of fastening of a boot натяжителя and...	14.... Remove a boot.

THE NOTE Pay attention to the original form of a boot – it differs from boots, before applied on engines VAZ. Get precisely same boot.

15. Establish a new boot натяжителя and the removed details in an order, the return to removal.
